Overview

Develop a comprehensive brand identity, wayfinding system, and signage suite for a series of multi-story parking structures—complemented by a user-focused payment website and supported with social media marketing and awareness campaigns.

The Challenge

The key challenge was to create a standalone sub-brand that worked within the Council’s colour palette but operated independently of the Council’s corporate image—reflecting the third-party management of fees, maintenance, and security across the various facilities. In addition, these sites needed to be framed as mobility centres, not just traditional car parks—integrating bike parking, electric scooter bays, and broader multi-modal transport access. The brand also needed to visually align with existing public parking theming through standardised design textures that tied into the wider Coastal Parking identity, helping users easily recognise Council-managed parking locations.

The Solution

Together with teammate Suzanne, we developed the brand name ‘ParknGo’, reflecting the ease, consistency, and speed the new parking hubs offered across all forms of transit. The visual identity combined clean, modern typography, familiar Council-aligned colour schemes, and adaptable signage systems designed for quick recognition and intuitive navigation. The user journey extended into a streamlined digital payment site, with multiple payment options and a layout focused on reducing friction at every step. Combined with an awareness campaign on social media, this approach helped reinforce the system’s accessibility and ease of use.

The Result

The standardised design allowed for seamless rollout across new structures and easy adaptation for regional parking zones operating outside of the ParknGo brand. The identity quickly became instantly recognisable, reinforcing user trust and familiarity across the Coastal Parking network—regardless of location or facility type.
